Job Brief
CV Screen were approached to source an Account Manager by a growing digital agency based in London.
The role was to sit within the client services team, looking after customers within the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate needed to have experience within the FMCG sector, either client side or agency side and have experience of managing digital marketing campaigns.
Recruitment Process
CV Screen posted an advert on the leading job boards (Total Jobs, Reed, CV Library, Indeed and LinkedIn) specifying that we required a Digital Account Manager with FMCG experience. We received over 100 applications, most of whom lacked the FMCG knowledge (despite the advert stating that it was essential!).
Of the 100 applications, there were three candidates who had the required experience who CV Screen interviewed. We also conducted a targeted search on our CV database and on LinkedIn for candidates working for digital agencies and who had FMCG experience. Our recruiter had already conducted thorough research on the leading digital agencies (so was able to search by company name) – this resulted in four suitable candidates wishing to be forwarded for the role.
We submitted seven CVs, received five interviews and placed Hayley after a two stage recruitment process.
About Hayley
Hayley was searching for a new role as her current agency had lost a couple of large contracts and there were rumours of downsizing.
She had worked in house for a leading food brand before moving into an agency role and had an excellent profile for the role.
She was also interviewing for a number of other roles, but chose the opportunity presented by CV Screen largely of the high profile brands that the digital agency were working with. The agency also offered an excellent benefits package with the focus on employee wellness which resonated.
